Membership Photo Policy

As stated on the VASA Fitness website, under Rules and Regulations ->Conduct -> Membership Photos, profile pictures are required on your membership to ensure member safety and prevent misuse. This policy is in place to keep all our members and employees safe.

If you do not have a profile picture in the app, you will be prompted to take a selfie. Your privacy is important to us; the data collected for the face scan is solely used for login purposes. We do not share or save this data beyond what is necessary for recognition. 

 


FAQs

Why does the policy not say anything about a facial scan or live photo, like the employee in club and app are requiring?

 

The definition of a profile picture is an image that represents the user. VASA requires an image of the member’s face to verify they are the account holder. The data collected for the face scan is solely used for login purposes. This information is not shared or saved beyond what is necessary for authentication.

 

What rules does VASA have in place to prevent theft and misuse of memberships?

 

VASA Fitness' privacy policy states that personally identifiable information will only be shared with third parties to further the purpose for which you provide such information (e.g., to process your subscription request, enrollment registration or merchandise order) or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights of VASA Fitness or its affiliates or subscribers. No employee, or vendor has direct access or ability to download or save any profile pictures.
